Project Theme & Area's of Research

*Previous project concentrated on places of significance from my childhood.

*Began to wonder how i could develop this subject into something slightly more ambiguous.

*I remembered when i was young my dad would always tell us he was a steel fixer and built bridges.

*I felt like this could be a positive starting point for my new project so i intend to research bridge building from its origin.

So in some ways this project is a continuation of the work which i completed in the 2nd semester of Year 2. I do hope to produce work which is a little deeper in meaning and importance, and thus making it slightly more ambiguous and less personalised.

Start of Project & Materials

*Research bridges, take photographs or bridges i find.

*Set up a Blog to document the projects progression. I will also use my blog as a visual dock for all artist research which i carry out.

*Make a rough plan about how the weeks will be separated so i can make the most of the time we have to complete this body of work.

*I intend to use similar materials to previous work, old books, maps, papers, leather, magazines etc

*I also intend to try and stretch my work out into the area of screen print which is something i need to research into.

Studios & Workshops

*I hope to use the print room more this year as it is a great way to produce multiples of particular pieces of work.

* I also intend to use my studio space as a base for all of my work to come together.

*Book making or Zines

Research of Artists

*Reading Blogs

*Talking to fellow students

*Visiting Exhibitions
