In The Pipe Line
Sunday 17th October at 7am I will be on the M65 between Burnely and Colne. CRAZY i hear you say....No...it's all in the name of art!
My Dad is taking me on a none stop tour around the bridges he helped build in the 1980's -90's. Often working 14 hour shifts in all weathers. Photographs will be posted here A.S.A.P.
So...if you happen to be on the M65 at that time and you spot a white transit van...give us a toot.

My Day out In Ribchester.
Ribchester is a Roman Village located just outside of Blackburn.
This is a picture i took purely for selfish reasons...for the fact that i find shacks and out houses so interesting. I presume they are mini hotels for chickens!
Central Arch of the Ribchester Bridge. This is a Rebuilt version of the origional. It was rebuilt in the 1770's when a terrible flood washed the main part of the bridge downstream.

This is the footbridge which crosses the river Ribble. It's a lovely structure and if you stand in the middle there is more than a little bit of movement. (especially if you jump up and down)

M65
Been gathering information about the M65 and planning a route to visit every bridge at each junction. It's proving interesting really. You can not imagine how people got around before the M65 existed. And it's a relatively modern addition to our North West road network too. i'll Keep you posted.
this image is from a blog i follow...go check out who i follow...see if you can find it :D
